Q: How much do you charge for web hosting?

A: We have 5 different base packages that have been designed around providing the best value possible. You may add extra features and options to each plan for a nominal fee. We provide custom quotes within 24 hours of request in case you need any special requirements.


Q: What happens if I go over my disk or bandwidth quota?

A: Once your account gets close to the pre-paid limit (90%), an email will be sent to you regarding the situation and possible solutions. Once the quota has been exceeded, your site will be temporarily suspended until a solution has been reached or the next month’s pay period commences.


Q: What happens if I go over my email quota?

A: Once your account gets close to the pre-paid limit (90%), an email will be sent to you regarding the situation and possible solutions. Once the quota has been exceeded, you will be unable to receive any new email but will be able to send out as normal. Since you have full control over your domain, you can delete and suspend accounts as you see fit.


Q: I don’t have my own domain name, can I still host with punkmac.com?

A: You can register a domain name when you sign up for an account for a yearly fee, depending on domain name availability. You will be required to supply the administrative contact information for the domain, so we can setup our DNS servers for the new domain and pass the full administrative control on to you. Alternatively, if you do not wish to purchase a domain you can select a name.punkmac.com for your domain name upon administrative approval.


Q: Can I resell my account to others?

A: Reselling your account on the punkmac.com network is strictly forbidden and subject to immediate suspension and possible termination of account.


Q: Can I host adult materials on my web page?

A: We do not accept any forms of pornography on our network and is subject to suspension and termination of account. Any forms of illegal pornography such as child pornography will be reported to the proper authorities.


Q: Do you offer SSH/Telnet access?

A: We do not offer SSH or Telnet access at this time on any of our servers. All of our plans include secure web-based account administration tools.


Q: Do you support FrontPage/ASP Extensions?

A: We currently only support native Linux and Unix based scripting languages, such as PHP, Perl, mod_perl, CGI and SSI.


Q: Do you support C-Panel/Plesk/Ensim?

A: Our system administrators build all of our servers from the ground up, so we do not rely on third-party software for our account management and support. Our highly skilled and trained programmers have developed many applications for client information and administrative use.


Q: What kind of technical support do you offer?

A: We offer round the clock email and online technical support via our online ticket system. Our support staff is ready to answer any of your network or service related questions. However, we cannot support third-party software applications outside of the scope of our services.


Q: How long does it take for my account to be activated?

A: All accounts are setup within 24 hours of receipt of payment.


Q: Can I buy more add-on’s once I've signed up for my account?

A: Yes you can. Prices for additional disk space, bandwidth or any other commodity can be found on the services page. Contact the helpdesk with your new order.


Q: Can I get a variation in my package?

A: Custom services plans can be made upon your request. Because of the nature of special orders, please allow at least 24 hours before you receive your custom quote.


Q: How many IPs do I get? And how many can I get?

A: You get 1 shared IP for your domain. However, if you purchase a plan and require SSL (Secure server), you will receive a unique IP and be charged a small monthly fee.


Q: What is a shared, or “virtually hosted” IP?

A: All http 1.1 based sites, normal http://www.yourdomain.com/ websites use a common IP to reserve IP space on our network. Clients requiring SSL based sites will be assigned their IP for their usage for a small monthly fee.


Q: What are my payment options?

A: We currently accept Cashiers Cheque, Money Order and PayPal, which is our preferred method of payment. For Cashiers Cheque and Money Order, please allow 7-10 business days for delivery and processing.


Q: How do I cancel my account?

A: Termination of account is effective immediately upon request to our accounts department. Monthly fees for the current month are non-refundable and any outstanding fees must be paid in full at the time of cancellation.
